We should start the talks about the purchasing and licensing of the S400 and S500 system (better if we could even get some transfer of technology). Both indigenous Akash , Barak 8 and foreign S400 performed very well in the war

That’s sounds good but russia has china as its ally. 

I doubt who they’ll choose if they were to choose between India and China. 

Russia did supported India vaguely but china cane forward completely to support Pakistan. 

US just allegedly mediated to stop the “war” but we don’t really know. 

So I guess instead of depending on foreign countries we should pump up our own weapon production. 

Secondly WTF IS HAL DOING. Tejas jet has been in development for decades now. I know it takes time but it’s just too much. 

I hope after Tejas HAL pumps up their game too.

Israel has a usecase for an Iron Dome type area defense system because of Hamas rockets.

US has the C-RAM system that was adapted from the Naval CIWS to counteract rocket &amp; mortar strikes in the Middle East region.

There is not much funds left for R&amp;D after paying the electricity bill, diesel bill, phone bill, samosa bill, pension bill etc compared to rich countries.

I read China had a similar problem but they concentrated R&amp;D in few locations. And they are reaping the rewards today. We distributed it all over the map. Cuz u know how one side of the map will start crying if another side gets more funds. So things don't happen at the speed of China.

That said where there is high concentration of high quality edu institutions and established industry there is good chance some magic will happen.

India has got the slogans though. Will fight with it from Lal Qila.
